An America Star Books delegation, headed by president and CEO Willem Meiners, has been invited by a group of 50 international journalists to meet and discuss books. The meeting is scheduled to take place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands within eight weeks. The group includes newspaper, magazine, TV, and radio reporters from countries that include Canada, U.S., France, Portugal, Bulgaria. Also present are the Chairman and CEO of Sony BMG in London, as well as the CEO of the Dutch association of editors-in-chief who is also in charge of all the news on the country's state TV.
Willem will be able to bring, for discussion with the journalists, a limited number of books. The meeting is about these books, and it is left up to our delegation to determine which titles will be brought to the table. After the meeting, presentations are scheduled in at least two large Amsterdam area bookstores. Live radio and TV interviews are also being scheduled.
Preparation time is short. What we will put in front of the reporters is a full-page summary of your book. Our delegation will know what each book is about, and what its author's strengths are. All present will be urged to report on you and your work, with our explanation as to why. The bookstores will be urged to carry your work this summer.
Space is very limited, therefore you will need to decide quickly whether you want your book to appear under the eyes of such an elite group of international journalists whose sole interest that day will be books. An opportunity like this comes around only rarely.
