Johannes de Jong, born in 1952 in Nes aan de Amstel, the Netherlands, was a son and the tenth child in a traditional Catholic family of farmers. He is director of a health care organization, and in addition has been working as a life coach. Foot en route to Santiago, he discovered the joy of writing, which resulted in his first book.
